Mbigha Celes won the Global Minds grant for a 4 years PhD at the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL), Belgium, in collaboration with the Molecular and Cell Biology laboratory for 2021 – 2024. The grant is destined for the identification, quantification and characterization of Aedes mosquito-transmitted viruses in Cameroon.
Mr. Shintouo Cabirou won the African Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases (ARNTD) grant for 2021. This grant is destined for the Development of a dipstick test for the assessment of the elimination of human onchocerciasis in zones under long-term mass drug administration with Ivermectin.
Dr Shey Robert won an African Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases (ARNTD) grant for 2021. This grant is destined for the rational design of sensitive and specific antigen capture immunodiagnostic tests for onchocerciasis. The project is expected to deliver novel tools for better management of onchocerciasis in poor settings.
